Golf Fitness & Mobility Trip
We all recognize the importance of being mobile to enjoy playing golf. And as I learned the hard way, for anyone over the age of 40, regular stretching is a must. But where to start? There is more to mobility training than simple Yoga style stretching.
I am delighted to be accompanied by top Personal Trainer, James Griffiths, who is absolutely dedicated to his craft and has done wonders helping me over the last few years.
The trip is at Monte Rei Golf and Country Club and includes 4 rounds of golf and a mix of golf coaching, and body conditioning. You will have both group and individual time with James and I.

Coaching
Group and Individual Coaching Sessions
With Dr Noel Rousseau you will have access to the highest levels in technical, tactical and mental coaching but most importantly, the small group numbers ( guests) mean that the coaching can be tailored to suit your goals.
The morning sessions are a combination of group and individual coaching.
Individual Swing Goals
Either at the start of the week or before you travel, you will have a goal-setting session with Noel to establish exactly what you and he agree is a sensible direction for the week. These technical goals will be worked on during individual coaching sessions throughout the week, Short game is generally a shared group session.

Play With the Pro
One of the most useful learning experiences is to play with a professional. The afternoons provide the opportunity to play the spectacular Monte Rei course in a totally relaxed environment and absorb all the little quirks and nuances that make up a professional’s game. You play in 3 balls so as to enable Noel to play 9 holes with each group every day.
Most importantly, the coaching format is flexible and can be adjusted on the fly to accommodate everyone's needs.
Extra Rounds of Golf
The trip package includes 4 rounds of golf but additional green fees can be arranged at the resident's rate of 155 euros. The day of arrival is a travel day with no planned coaching activity. There is also an afternoon off on Sunday. Both these days are opportunities to play even more golf. I know it seems unlikely now but when you see the course you will understand why most of the guests play as much as they possibly can while they have the chance.
Buggies and water come as part of the package and with the additional green fees.
Dining
After a substantial breakfast, lunch is normally a quick sandwich on the go with the evening meal either taken in one of the Monte restaurants or at a restaurant in the local fishing villages.
There is no pressure to attend all practise sessions or eat with the group every night if you'd rather chill or take emails etc. It is your trip.
Accomodation
Accommodation is on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Villas
Everyone has their own en-suite room in a large shared 3-bed villa on the resort. The villas and rooms are extremely spacious with everything you would expect from a premium resort.
The villas are either a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute shuttle to the clubhouse and golf course.
Clubhouse Residence Apartments
The apartments are located 2-minutes from the clubhouse and overlook the 18th hole towards the Atlantic Ocean. As per the villas, guests share a spacious apartment with their own en-suite room. 1 bedroom apartments be arranged for couples.

Flights
Flights are not included in the price of the package. Monte Rei is located approx. 45 minutes from Faro airport. UK guests are encouraged to book the same BA flight from Heathrow but we can be flexible.

Maximum golfers on the trip: 7 guests.
In the afternoon sessions, Noel will play 9 holes with each group.
There is no coaching on the day of arrival. This is a travel day and a chance to enjoy the facilities.

Wednesday - Travel and relax with a few practice balls on the range. (UK guests take the 08:00 BA flight from Heathrow and arrive at Monte Rei around 13:30.)
